What made you become a stylist?
Doing hair has been a passion of mine since I can remember. I love the creative side of cosmetology and making others feel amazing about themselves!
What’s your favorite product line?
I love all R&Co products but R&Co Bleu takes the cake! It truly is an amazing product.
What hair tool can’t you live without?
I definitely can’t live without my BioIonic long barrel curling iron. It can give you the perfect curl/beachwave and always delivers perfect results!
What’s your favorite service to provide to clients?
My favorite service would be blonding/balayage, however, I love all things hair. I am also certified in extensions & love doing big transformations!
How do you keep up with the latest hair trends?
I am constantly educating myself. Not only to stay in with trends but because it’s so fun! If I’m not researching/looking up videos, I’m attending classes every chance I get. Staying in with trends is so crucial in the beauty industry and you have to invest in yourself!
What do you like best about being a stylist?
I love how much fun it is! Going to work isn’t like “going to work” for me, it’s coming to hang out with friends and having fun with my coworkers. I also love the creative and visual aspect of cosmetology!
How has working at STUDIO VASI changed your business?
Studio Vasi has given me so many opportunities and education that not every salon does! Vasi motivates us and pushes us to make us better and it’s amazing. I’ve never had a job that is so fun yet so inspiring!
What’s your favorite thing about STUDIO VASI?
The environment at Studio Vasi is relaxing and fun. All of the girls at the salon are team players and I love it!
What’s your favorite memory from your journey? When did it feel like you caught your “big break?”
My favorite memory is we went to America’s Beauty Show in cosmetology school and just walking in I knew I was meant for this profession. It was almost a moment of relief to know that I had found my passion.
Is there anyone in the industry or beyond that you really admire, or someone who inspired you in your career?
My mom and grandma are also cosmetologists and I would say that they both inspired me so much growing up. I also love Carly/The Blonde Chronicles because she is such an amazing stylist & gives so much education online & in person.
How do you define a “success” after a client leaves your salon?
I would define a “success” to be a smile on their face and them loving their hair and how they feel!
What’s your favorite way to unwind after work?
With my dog & a glass of wine!
Do you have any kids or animals?
Just my dog, Rip. However, he’s like my child so both!
What’s your favorite guilty pleasure to indulge?
Definitely peanut M&M’s
How do you manage work-life balance?
When I get to work, I do my best to leave everything going on at home outside of work.
What’s next for your career?
I intend to continue my education and become a platform artist. However, educating and bettering myself is my main focus right now.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You are allowed to change you career to follow your passion! Change is good.
What’s your favorite Starbucks drink?
Venti Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte with oatmilk!
